ERF Instructor Crossover Program
| Overview
Individuals who are current Medic First Aid Instructors or CPR/First Aid instructors with another qualification organization may earn the Emergency First Response Instructor rating by completing an entire Emergency First Response Instructor Course or by attending an Instructor Crossover Program. Successful instructor candidates will apply to become an Emergency First Response Instructor and to be registered with Emergency First Response, Corp. After which, they are authorized to purchase Emergency First Response instructional and participant materials and teach Emergency First Response courses. Performance Requirements 1. Prior to course, instructor candidate must obtain an Emergency First Response Instructor Guide and complete the Self-Study Knowledge Review. 2. Participate in three required Instructor Crossover Program presentations: 3. Demonstrate role-model technique on Primary Assessment, One Rescuer Adult CPR, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use. 4. Successfully complete the Emergency First Response Instructor written examination. |

| Required Materials
For independent study and training sessions, instructor candidates must obtain: Recommended Materials - Emergency First Response Video Course Duration 1 day program (approximately 6 hours) Prerequisites 1. Instructor candidate must be renewed as PADI Member (PADI Assistant Instructor or higher) for the current year. 2. Hold a current Medic First Aid Instructor certifcation or CPR/First Aid instructor rating with another organization (may include: American Heart Assocition, American Red Cross, American Safety and Health Institute, Cruz Roja de Mexico, Deutsches Rotes Kreuz, EMP International, Queensland Ambulance Service, South African Red Cross Society and St. John’s Ambulance).
