ERF Refresher

Overview

Emergency Responders are to keep their primary and secondary skills fresh by practicing skills on their own and by reviewing the Emergency First Response materials every six months or any time a refresher is needed.To keep the Emergency First Response completion card current, Emergency Responders should refresh their skills at least every 24 months.

Certification

A new Primary Care (CPR) and/or Secondary Care (First Aid) completion card will be issued to Emergency Responders who successfully complete an Emergency First Response Refresher.

Course Structure

Emergency First Response Refresher focuses on the Skill Development portion of the Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses.

Any new developments or changes to primary care or secondary care techniques since Emergency Responders completed their initial course or last refreshed their skills are to be reviewed.

Course Duration

1/2 day program (approximately 4 hours)

Prerequisites

Hold an Emergency First Response completion card.
